JOB SUMMARY:
Acts as the liaison between business units and IT department. Completes business cases in support of projects. Participates in or facilitates requirements definition, business process modeling, and research efforts. Participates in application testing by developing and executing application test cases. Acts as a consultant to business partners and customers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Acts as a liaison between IT and business units by:
a. Provides a single point of contact for business units into IT and acts as a conduit between the business partners and customers.
b. Makes recommendations for product enhancements.
c. Manages business unit and customer expectations of IT.
2. Participates in business process modeling and requirement definition sessions, acting as a documentarian, co-facilitator, facilitator, or subject matter expert.
3. Conducts interviews and performs analysis in order to create business cases for projects.
4. Expert knowledge of data modeling and business modeling processes
5. Experience developing and executing application test cases
6. Conducts preliminary investigation for all project requests. Reviews and develops requirements, specifications, test, support and training plans to ensure they are in line with business objectives on projects.
7. Participates in Business Process Management group efforts to collect and analyze metrics and continually improve processes owned by the group.
8. Participates in root cause analysis in order to recommend product enhancements or other appropriate actions to improve productivity for both the business units and IT.
9. May act as a project manager on some projects.
